It’s To Be A Tough Mudder for Metro Ecosse.
Dalkieth Country Park - June 14th
This Saturday, three of the brave from our Edinburgh office will face a 20km obstacle course through mud, fire, electricity and ice to test strength, stamina, teamwork and mental grit. That’s right, it’s a Tough Mudder! Here’s a taste of the challenge:
Ally, Stuart and Ross will face 10 miles of back to back challenges including Electroshock Therapy, The Arctic Enema and The Phoenix which involve running through a field of live wires, swimming through floating icebergs and crawling through a smoking tunnel to emerge at a wall of fire (which they will have to jump before reaching a watery pit of Scottish mud).
They are hoping to raise money for charity Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland and you can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/metroecosse
Last year’s Tough Mudder Scotland event saw thousands of Mudders take part. Yesterday, when we asked how their training was coming along, Ally said, “We’ll get through, one way or another” but Health & Safety officer Grant wasn’t so sure and said he would withhold his pledge until they all returned in one piece.
Remember, don’t try this at home.
Good luck, lads!
