Dynamo Launches Patrons of Variety at Vinopolis.
On Monday 29th September at Vinopolis, we had the enormous pleasure of working with Event Organiser Jeremy Andersen and “Magician Impossible” Dynamo’s production designers to put on a magical evening for Variety, the children’s charity. Organised by Founder Harold Tillman CBE and hosted by TV Presenter Gaby Roslin, the aim was to launch a new fundraising initiative called Patrons of Variety which seeks pledges of £10,000 a year for three years from a core group of 50 donors.
The evening began with a champagne reception at The Shard, which included close-up magic by Dynamo.
The 300 VIP guests were then escorted on a magical walk through Borough Market arriving at Vinopolis for a scrumptious three course dinner and more entertainment from Dynamo, soprano Laura Wright and Scottish jazz pianist Jonathan Carr.
Our in-house Project Manager at Vinopolis James Forsyth said, “ It was a fantastic experience to work with such a creative production team; they knew exactly what mood they wanted to create and worked closely with us to achieve the effect through a vast array of lighting, set, sound and visuals.”
The set was created using a brickwork effect which complemented the original interior in the Victorian venue’s Great Halls. Colour-changing lighting was used to alter the mood and create intrigue, helping to control the pace of the event.
Variety’s Founder Harold Tillman said, “The Patrons of Variety group has a huge role to play in the future of this prestigious charity and we’re delighted to be able to launch in such spectacular style.”
