Raising Money For Macmillan At The TCS Amsterdam Marathon

As if our marathon man Ash Arundell hadn’t covered enough miles this month, having run the London Royal Parks Ultra Marathon on 12th October, he headed off to Amsterdam last weekend with our James Lockyer and freelancers Ryan Cox and Patrick Quinn to cover another 26.2 miles at the TCS Amsterdam Marathon.

Together, they raised £305 for cancer charity Macmillan by raffling off a 32” television to those of us in the office who chose to donate rather than run.

For those of you interested in scenic running routes, the TCS Amsterdam course begins and ends at Amsterdam’s Olympic Stadium.  As it winds through the city, runners pass through the heart of the monumental Rijksmuseum, the famous passage which connects the city centre to the South of Amsterdam. It also courses along the beautiful river Amstel and through Vondelpark, Amsterdam’s largest public park.
