Severely Injured Service Personnel Step Out In Style At Spencer House
The charity event season is in full swing and we thought we’d share one of our favourites with you; we think it’s such a great cause. Style For Soldiers, founded by Emma Willis, Jermyn Street-based designer of luxury shirts, is a charity which provides luxury menswear to service personnel who have suffered serious injury, helping to rebuild confidence and self-esteem.
Emma visits Headley Rehabilitation Centre to measure severely injured service men and women for a bespoke, designer shirt. They are also given a beautiful, hand-crafted walking stick and invited to the Style For Soldiers annual Christmas Party.
The 2014 event was held last week at the beautiful Spencer House and we provided audio equipment throughout the venue so that all 300 guests could hear the proceedings which took place in the Dining Room on the Ground Floor. We also supplied a bespoke stage specifically designed to accommodate wheelchairs.
Royal Engineer and fundraiser Alistair Spearing takes to the stage.
Actress Hermione Corfield and BBC Middle East Editor Jeremy Bowen talk with Helmand blast survivor Lieutenant Alex Horsfall.
R&B singer and songwriter Hatty Keane performs.
