Taking place in the Screening Room at Somerset House tonight at 7pm - exclusively for Guardian Live members - the event features a live discussion between curator of the exhibition Alistair O’Neill and the Guardian’s fashion editor Jess Cartner-Morley as they explore the career of one of fashion's most influential and enigmatic photographers in the final weeks of the exhibition Guy Bourdin: Image Maker.
Known as a fashion photographer during his lifetime, Guy Bourdin was the darling of Paris Vogue and created iconic photo shoots for Charles Jourdan shoes and Bloomingdales lingerie. Today widely regarded as a master of his art, his arresting images have spawned hundreds of imitators drawn to his glamorous, noirish world.
Following the talk, guests can explore more than 200 works, many previously unseen, including sketches, fashion films and paintings, and discover the photographer's influences, his love of cinema and surrealism, and the working practices of the master image-maker in a private view of the exhibiton.
As Somerset House’s approved supplier for audio visual and event services at the Screening Room, we are really looking forward to working at the exclusive event tonight.
