It was an absolute delight to work at City Hall recently with Facilities Management Group OCS which utilises this amazing venue to host the OCS Young Sportsperson (YSP) of the Year Awards.

Working in such an amazing space, our set design team was able to create a circular stage with disabled access, echoing the spiral structure of the iconic building which is home to the Mayor of London and the General London Assembly.

The OCS YSP Awards are run in partnership with SportsAid, the charity responsible for funding emerging sports talent in the UK and helping the next generation of British Athletes succeed.

The aim is to recognise outstanding young athletes and provide help with the financial strain of training, travelling and competing at the start of their journey. At this stage, independent recognition and financial assistance makes a huge difference.

OCS YSP Awards has made bursaries of £500,000 to over 200 young athletes, including a number of Olympians, since the Awards began in 1998.
