Metro’s Tweetwall Delights Audience When Event Hashtag Trends at No 2!

If you thought the 23rd June was all about the EU Referendum, you’d almost be right, except there was one other prominent hashtag trending on Twitter, and we were able to capture it live at the British Franchise Association’s (bfa) annual Franchisor Awards event.  We’d installed a customised Tweetwall which the audience clearly embraced and guests were absolutely thrilled to see #bfaAwards16 reach No. 2 on Twitter’s trend chart.

The bfa had the idea to create a competition for the most creative photo at the event, and we sent the photos to the big screens in real time.  This in turn added a bit of fun and excitement as well as encouraging use of social media and the event hashtag.

Our man, Terence Corness provided the guests with verbal and visual instructions and before long #bfaAwards16 was trending on twitter.
