Grant and Dom Train for the National Three Peaks Challenge to Raise Money for Ellenor’s Hospice

Grant and Dom Train for the National Three Peaks Challenge to Raise Money for Ellenor’s Hospice.

Metro’s Grant Mitchell and Dominic Tucker prepare to take on the National Three Peaks Challenge.  In just 24 hours, the daring duo will attempt to climb the three largest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales to raise money for Ellenor’s Hospice, a charity very close to their hearts.

Old friends since school days, Grant and Dom intend to keep each other motivated during their self-organised walk. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). The total driving distance is 462 miles.

They will set out on Friday 9th March from Fort William at 17:00 and aim to complete at Caernarfon by 17:00 the following day.

Grant - who is also training for the London to Brighton Bike Ride in June - says, “We’ve worked out that we will spend 11 hours driving leaving just 13 hours for climbing but we’re training hard and confident we will complete the challenge, hopefully with a few stories to share afterwards.”
