Hilton London Metropole Partners with Metro Broadcast to Produce Cutting Edge Meetings and Events.

April 9th, 2018, London- UK-based event production company Metro Broadcast has been appointed by Hilton London Metropole as the hotel’s resident production supplier from April 2018.

With 42 meeting rooms, the Hilton London Metropole is one of Europe’s largest conference hotels.  The 1,059 room London property was purchased in 2017 by property investor Henderson Park.  Marking the new era, Hilton London Metropole aims to improve client and guest experience for all types of events scaling from small meetings to the largest of conferences.

Aaron Phillips, Conference & Events Operations Director at Hilton London Metropole says, “Metro Broadcast has the right mix of technical and creative expertise to help us deliver innovation as well as an exceptionally high level of client service, supporting our goal to become the best event venue in Europe.”

It was Metro’s delivery of a global medical conference at the venue which first caught the hotel’s eye.  The installation took place over three days prior to the event and included installing the branding, lighting and projection, staging, presentation equipment, sound and filming equipment.

The main room featured edge-blended projection across three of its four vast walls.  To achieve consistent results, the walls and doors of the room were first covered in vinyl.  The presentations were filmed and relayed live to both side walls to engage delegates in all areas of the 1000-seater room.  Later in the conference, after a stunning opening video played out on 270°projection, delegates could watch live surgical procedures which were performed off-stage and relayed to the main screen, supported by two-way audio.

Metro’s contract for the Hilton London Metropole ensures all small meeting rooms are equipped with LED screens and Barco ClickShare, improving the ease at which meeting organisers can both share content and encourage content contribution from the personal devices of delegates.
The creative team at Metro has also shared proposals to improve the sensory experience in banqueting areas using projection and lighting technologies as well as make creative and technical proposals on an event-by-event basis for organisers of some of the world’s largest conferences.

In preparation for the new residency, Metro Broadcast is developing a series of ‘fly-throughs’ – short animations to help the conference team and clients visualise the delegate experience.

Mary Metcalfe, MD at Metro Broadcast says, “We are very excited to be working with the Hilton London Metropole and to have the opportunity to assist in the creation of flawless events and conferences for the hotel’s clients.”
