When Philip Honey, event design consultant for luxury brands, asked Metro Broadcast to help present Jimmy Choo’s latest collection to their European network of store managers at the London head office in October, the team of production specialists met with an interesting challenge.
The Spring/Summer collection was to be showcased in a catwalk setting in the company’s new showroom. The challenge was how to make the shoes the centre of attention as they weren’t in the immediate line of vision.
Philip Honey worked with technical production experts Metro Broadcast to come up with the solution: the shoes were to be filmed live in action with angled cameras and relayed onto large plasma screens as the models reached the end of the runway. Metro Broadcast managed the presentation, filmed the event and provided the equipment.
Metro Broadcast has been working with Philip Honey Design for over 20 years and together they have collaborated on a number of events for luxury brands including Louis Vuitton and Dom Perignon.
