Metro Ecosse Delivers Global Conference in Brazil for Experian
Since 2007, Metro Ecosse has been working with leading global information services company Experian, producing internal communications events all over the globe. Located close to the company’s operational HQ in Brazil, the three-day 2013 Global Management Growth Conference was to be staged in The Grand Hyatt, Sao Paulo – attracting 170 of the company’s senior managers from around the world. Metro’s job included both pre-production work in technical design, video production, soundtracks and animation as well as on-site production management and co-ordination of local suppliers and crew.
Metro Ecosse’s approach was to centrally manage the event from its Edinburgh office, appointing an in-house senior production team. Local technicians were sourced for extra hands on-site from Metro’s global network of trusted, freelance technicians.
From its Edinburgh base, Metro Ecosse designed the overall floor plan including break out areas, meeting areas and the space for the main conference presentations. Designs for the set and lighting were created while work began on the sound and video content – opening film, teaser video clips, speaker walk-up stings and a full soundtrack.
The conference was to include team-building activities, keynote presentations, dinners and entertainment all of which were filmed by Metro Ecosse’s on-site video production unit and edited to create a five minute highlights video shown as the closing item on the conference agenda.
Raising the game from previous years, Metro improved the presentation technologies for 2013 by using super widescreen projection and Watchout blending technologies to give a seamless feel to changing images and graphics.
Talking to Metro Ecosse’s production team after the event, Experian’s Event Manager, Jane Harris, said, “After the success of last year’s event this year’s GMGC was always going to be a challenge, and had a lot to live up to. For me it really did live up to expectations and I would have never have survived without the support from all of you.
