A collaborative event industry skills initiative, formed in 2010 by Delta Sound and White Light, welcomes Metro Broadcast and The Royal Albert Hall to the 2014 undergraduate programme. The growing initiative is an educational programme for stage technicians at the UK’s leading universities and theatre schools aiming for a career in live events. The initiative helps prepare students for work and provides an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the industry offering advice on production planning, project management, creating a CV and interview tips. The initiative reaches out to students of RADA, Central School of Speech and Drama, Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Mountview Academy, Rose Bruford College and the Guildford School of Acting.

On February 23rd 2014, freelance event industry video producer Peter Boatfield will be driving 4,500 miles in a used truck to deliver vital medical equipment and supplies to a hospital in The Gambia. Peter’s involvement with charity Drive To Help is sponsored by London-based technical production company Metro Broadcast. Peter will be travelling with his sister Hannah Boatfield, a documentary film-maker who will be recording the action throughout the journey. Their film is expected to be broadcast later this year.

For the fourth year in succession, pharmaceutical company Allergan has re-appointed London-based production company Metro Broadcast to produce its extensive programme of educational events at the Anti-Ageing Medical World Congress (AMWC) at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco in April 2014. Vast in size, the Grimaldi spans six floors and contains three auditoria, 22 breakout rooms, 35,000m2 of exhibition space and three catering venues. The annual AMWC utilises every event space simultaneously over the duration of the three day convention.
